Issue with video title/description length has been resolved.
New keyboard shortcuts have been added like: arrows keys (seek forward/backward, volume up/down) and numbers (for seeking, e.g. 1 = 10%, 2 = 20%, etc.)
Captions have been rewritten (they should work much better now).
JQuery detection algorithm has been added (it should prevent from overwriting existing instance).
Mouse-scroll mechanism has been improved (it’ll work only if volume bar is visible, and it’ll now block page scrolling).
There is no need for re-installation (just overwrite files).

DarkOnyx v2.1.12012-01-21, 17:21- big update

TLF (Text Layout Framework) was replaced with a custom text-engine based system. Main swf size has been reduced by about 60% (180KB), player will now load in much faster than before.
Minor changes to the PHP code (player should not generate "variable notice" errors in log files anymore).
Major changes to AJAX component in DarkOnyx Control Panel, special characters should not break Playlist/CP anymore.

DarkOnyx v2.1.02011-12-15, 23:41- big update

Playlist/channel management has been rewritten from scratch. The new approach is very simple - each playlist can contain multiple channels, while channels of course hold videos. Both channel and video order is now controllable thanks to a nice Drag & Drop mechanism (a lot of people requested that feature)
Some nice animations where added to the playlist component.
A bug with Domain Control Settings (https) was resolved.
Video URLs with no extension (hashed etc.) should work now without a problem.
Database Update is required - update guide:
1. Overwrite files with 2.1.0 player,
2. Remove install folder,
3. Login to your Control Panel (you will be asked to update database structure),
4. Click "perform update" button,
5. Done!

Missing variable declarations were added to the PHP code (Errors were visible with reporting set to E_ALL)

We have received an information that ESET Anti-virus was reporting news.php file as PHP/Kryptic.AB trojan (reading news is evil indeed). We've modified the code a bit, and now news page uses JSON for uploading changelog to avoid further confusion.

YouTube video support has been improved (clicking video screen will pause/resume a video). Closing Google ads in now possible too.
Dailymotion video support has been added (API was quite similar to the one from YouTube, so we've decided to implement it too)
Issues with IE8 have been resolved. Player should work now on older browsers without a problem.

DarkOnyx v2.0.12011-11-08, 15:38 - final release!

Player now support YouTube videos (flash mode only) including all quality-levels starting from 240p to 1080p (DarkOnyx is the only player that can do that!). YouTube logo & ads will be present during the playback.
Minor HTML/CSS fixes for the playlist. Scroll-buttons will be visible on mobile devices.
Facebook integration was improved (there should be no problem with overwriting player oEmbed by a website)
Full reinstallation is required!
Beta editions will stop working in 7 days from now -> (15th November)

DarkOnyx v2.0.0 beta2011-10-23, 16:23 - completely new player!

Player interface has been redesigned and greatly improved. We have added a preloader, new set of buttons, a lot of new features have been implemented like: tooltips and screen icons. Most of the colors are now fully customizable (including the playlist).
Template system know from our FLV Player is back!
Advanced "sharing" functionality has been implemented. Users will now be able to grab a video link, embed videos on their website/blogs or send e-mails to friends, but also share content directly through social networks like Facebook or Twitter.
Thanks to our new language system it's possible to add more translations in just a few minutes. All messages and texts are now being stored in separate XML files. DarkOnyx player can easily detect viewer's language and pick up the best translation on its own. Available languages are manageable through the Control Panel.
Domain Control System has been implemented. It is possible to prevented users from watching videos on embedded sites etc. Rules can be applied both for particular domains, or globally for all websites.
DarkOnyx Advertising component has been greatly improved. It's now possible to set a default ad campaign for all players (internal/external).
Two new ad formats have been added: banner/half-banner (jpg/png) and a layer pop-up (jpg/png).
Captions support was added (.srt files).
DarkOnyx now officially supports both RTMP & Pseudo-Streaming (available in flash mode only).
Age gate component has been added. It's now possible to specify a minimum age for each video.
Simple DRM system has been implemented in order to protect video content from being stolen/hot-linked. This option can be activated both for RTMP links (full protection) or video files stored on the same web-server as the player (hot-linking only). DRM system will work in flash mode only.
New fully-customizable playlist has been added.
