What's the main difference between DarkOnyx v2 and other web video players like JW Player or FlowPlayer?
A:
DarkOnyx is a full-scale web-video CMS and not just a video player. Thanks to the powerful control panel you can easily manage hundreds of videos, channels, create ad-campaigns, and event protect your video content from being hot-linked/stolen. DarkOnyx was designed for both small enterprise websites and large social networks in mind.

Is it possible to integrate DarkOnyx with other CMSs like: Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal, etc.?
A:
Yes of course! DarkOnyx is fully compatible with any PHP/MySQL based CMS. In most cases you won't need to integrate anything at all. Integration guides can be found on our forum.

Can I customize my player?
A:
DarkOnyx comes with over 50 settings and preferences allowing you to modify multiple elements like: buttons, icons, colors, gradients, fonts. You can also add your own watermark and site-info in the right-click/context menu (commercial editions).

Can I hire you guys to do the installation and/or integration with some 3rd-party CMS for me?
A:
No problem! Installation costs only 20 USD. Integration price can vary from 50 to 100 USD depending on your script/site.

A:
Yes, DarkOnyx supports all possible mobile devices including: iPhone, iPad, and Android based smartphones/tables.

What's the difference between free and commercial editions?
A:
With a commercial editions you are free to modify the watermark and the right-click/context menu. We also provide direct technical support for these edition. Master Edition includes source-files.

Am I allowed to use the free edition in commercial projects?
A:
No, you will need a commercial license.

Is it possible to upgrade a license from one edition to a higher one (e.g. from Standard to Extended)?
A:
Sure. You'll just need to pay a difference between these two. Just contact us, and we'll help you out!

Q:
I have the Extended/Master edition – Am I allowed to re-sell DarkOnyx to my clients?
A:
No! Player can be included in your commercial projects (like websites, etc.), but you are not allowed to re-sell the player. If you would like to include the player as part of your own product, please contact us, and we'll prepare a special offer for you.

Q:
Can I use DarkOnyx as a base for my own SaaS video-services like Brightcove, Ooyala?
A:
No, the license excludes this kind of usage.

I have the commercial edition, but in the right-click/context menu I still can see your link. How can I get rid of it?
A:
Sorry, but this link must stay there and you're now allowed to remove it. In our commercial editions, info about your website will be located at the top of the right-click/context menu. Our link will be located right below.

How do I pay? What payment methods are accepted?
A:
Web-Anatomy accepts payments via Paypal (Debit/Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discovery or linked Bank Account). Alternatively, you can use your Bank Account to make a traditional money transfer (it may take up to 3-4 days to book the payment).

How long does it take to receive a player?
A:
Our payment system is fully-automatic. Once the system receives a confirmation from Paypal, player will be attached to your account immediately. It usually takes less than 2 minutes. With Bank transfer it may take up to 3-4 days.

OK, I paid and… where is my player?
A:
Just log in on your account and move to my products page. You'll find both the player and your serial code there. Don't forget to add your domain to the list (it's right there). Otherwise player won't work...

I would like to see the results before I pay for the installation/integration.

Sorry, the payment must be performed first, before any additional work like installation or integration with 3rd party CMS can be done.

Are there any monthly fees?
A:
No, you pay only once. From time to time, we release huge updates which may costs from 10 up to 30% of the basic edition price, but these updates always include some new, cool functionality. You're not forced to update of course…

Q:
What video format should I use in my videos?
A:
We always advice our clients to concentrate on MP4 format with H.264 codec. Please check our documentation to learn more about HTML5 and Flash compatible video formats and codecs.

Any nice application I could use for encoding my videos?
A:
Go try something based on FFMPEG. You can try: Miro Video Converter (nice for OGV) or Freemake Video Converter (MP4 - requires Moov Atom fix!). There is no single perfect solution.

Q:
My MP4 videos won't start before video is fully buffed! What's wrong with the player?
A:
It appears that Moov-Atom (metadata etc.) is located at the end of your video file. You will have to relocate it to the front, or search for fast-start/publish for web function in your video encoder. This issue is not related with the player. You can use this little application to fix your file. Please check our guide to learn more about this issue.

My video won't start at all. All I can see is a black screen!
A:
Probably a video codec used to create your file is not compatible with flash/html5 technology. Please check our guides to learn more about it.

Q:
On my iPhone I can see only the default player!
A:
On some devices like iPhone, iPad, or Android based smartphones and tables it is impossible to skin the player. It's also partly related to the fact, that these default players are part of an OS and since they were designed for multi-touch, we cannot replace or skin them.
